What GP means in OSRS
GP stands for gold pieces, the player name for coins, the main currency item in Old School RuneScape. The OSRS Wiki lists coins as also being called gold pieces, gp, gold or money. Shops, NPC services, the Grand Exchange and player trades all run on it.
Players count GP in shorthand: 1k is 1,000 coins, 1m is 1,000,000 and 1b is 1,000,000,000. One stack of coins caps at 2,147,483,647, so trades above that use platinum tokens, which any banker swaps at 1,000 coins each.
