OSRS Roadmap 2026: Release Dates and How to Prepare

The OSRS 2026 roadmap so far: Deadman: Annihilation opened the year on 30 January, the Demonic Pacts League ran from 15 April to 11 June, The Blood Moon Rises came out on 30 June and Wyrmscraig followed on 29 July. Next is The Fractured Archive, the fourth raid, scheduled for 20 October 2026. Hardcore Worlds are set for 4 November, and November brings The Graveyard plus a Quest Month that Jagex says will add five new quests.

The second half of this page is the account plan. It covers the unlocks each scheduled update asks for, then four planning lanes: quests and diaries, a money method, a PvM ladder and one prestige goal. It is written for mains and irons who want a plan for the year instead of random daily logins.

Dates come from the OSRS Wiki update pages and its Upcoming updates list, checked on 12 October 2026. Scheduled dates can move, so check the official news post in the week of release.

OSRS 2026 Timeline: What Has Shipped

Sailing released on 19 November 2025, and a lot of the 2026 content hangs off it. Wyrmscraig won the Sailing Player-Designed Island competition and is reached by boat at 62 Sailing. The Graveyard in November asks for 65 Sailing. If Sailing is still low on your account, it is the skill most likely to lock you out of this year's new content. What Is Scheduled for the Rest of 2026 and 2027

No new league appears on the schedule through 2027 as of 12 October 2026. The Bingo system that was expected in summer 2026 was pushed back to early 2027.

What Each Upcoming Update Asks of Your Account

The Fractured Archive (20 October)

You need While Guthix Sleeps done to enter. That quest asks for 180 quest points, 72 Thieving, 67 Magic, 66 Agility, 65 Farming, 65 Herblore, 62 Hunter, 49 Firemaking and access to the Warriors' Guild (Attack plus Strength of 130, or 99 in either). On most accounts the 180 quest points take longer than the skills, so start there. See our While Guthix Sleeps guide for the full chain.

The raid has eight bosses, but each run fights five. The Archive Guardian is always first and a hooded figure is always last. In between, you pick one boss from each of three pairs: Ezekiel or Bork and the Smorks, Dreadnoth the Jellied or a necromancer, and Xarth or a Dagon'hai trio. Practice mode is not in at launch. At release, a full team wipe ejects you, unprotected items are lost, and reclaiming them costs up to 500,000 coins. Jagex plans to change this in the weeks after release so a wipe no longer ends the raid: you get some supplies to try again, and dying often lowers your unique rate. The Graveyard (November)

The wiki preview lists 65 Sailing, 65 Agility, 56 Woodcutting and 54 Fletching, plus The Fremennik Exiles, Olaf's Quest and Pandemonium. The listed reward is a new Agility course with the fastest marks of grace rates in the game. The wiki's Upcoming updates page says it needs 65 and 80 Agility, set up like the Colossal Wyrm course. Requirements for unreleased quests can still change, so treat these as targets.

Already out: Wyrmscraig and The Blood Moon Rises

Fallen From Grace on Wyrmscraig needs 62 Sailing, 60 Crafting, 53 Mining, 47 Runecraft and Pandemonium. Bring your own raft or skiff; the wiki notes that a sloop does not work for this quest. Finishing it unlocks the repeatable Mad Angel, which is weak to crush. The Wyrmscraig guide covers the island.

The Blood Moon Rises is a Grandmaster quest. It needs 74 Slayer, 74 Woodcutting, 72 Smithing, 72 Cooking, 70 Fletching, 66 Mining, 65 Hunter, 64 Crafting, 64 Herblore and 57 Magic, plus A Night at the Theatre and Sins of the Father. The Four Lanes

The dates tell you what is coming. The lanes decide what you do between releases. If a weekly session does not serve one of these, it is optional:

• Foundations: quests, diaries, teleports, fairy rings
• Economy: herb runs, a boss or a skilling method you will repeat every week
• Power: combat stats, gear upgrades, raid readiness
• Pride: a cape, collection log slots or a mode-specific goal

Write one sentence per lane for the quarter. For the last quarter of 2026, Foundations might read "finish While Guthix Sleeps before 20 October" and Power might read "get 80+ in all combat stats for the first Archive runs".

Practical Step-By-Step Plan

Plan by quarter. A yearly plan is too far out to stay accurate.

   Audit unlocks:

   quest points, diaries, key teleports, combat stats.

   Compare them with the requirement lists above and note the gaps.

   Choose one money method you will actually run weekly.

   Pick the next PvM step, for example mid-level bosses to entry raids.

   Keep a bank reserve for release weeks (supplies, gear swaps, seeds).

   Leave about a fifth of your playtime unplanned.

   Review the plan every month and rewrite what failed.

Update Readiness Checklist

• Liquid GP or supplies you can sell quickly
• Construction, Farming and Agility high enough for the travel unlocks you use
• Quest progress close to the gates of announced content
• A RuneLite setup you trust in a new fight

You cannot prepare for every leak. You can avoid being broke and quest-locked on release day.

Ironman Roadmap Notes

Irons replace buying with supply chains. Your roadmap should name the gatherers that feed your PvM (herbs, food, runes) before prestige grinds. A raid like The Fractured Archive eats potions and food fast, so stock up before 20 October. See iron equipment progression.

Common Mistakes

• Setting ten parallel 99 goals
• Leaving diaries until late game
• Spending every coin the day before a major update
• Starting While Guthix Sleeps the week the raid comes out
• Putting off a money method until after maxing combat
