The short version
30-second read- Equilibrium ran 10 August to 21 September 2026. It was RuneScape 3 only, so its regions, relics and Blessings never existed in Old School.
- Trailblazer started everyone in Misthalin with Karamja free. Players then unlocked three of seven other areas, and XP climbed from 5x to 16x at relic tier 6.
- No seventh OSRS league has been announced. When one comes, expect the Trailblazer region mechanic, which Jagex confirmed for every league from Raging Echoes onward.
- Main-game grinding gives no league head start. Prepare knowledge instead: the quest chains that gate the most content and the bosses you would otherwise avoid.
The Short Answer
OSRS Leagues 2 was the Trailblazer League. It ran from 28 October 2020 to 6 January 2021, started everyone in Misthalin and introduced region unlocking, the system most OSRS leagues have used since.
The most recent OSRS league was the sixth, Demonic Pacts, which ended on 11 June 2026. As of 12 October 2026 no seventh OSRS league has been announced. Both games number their leagues the same way, which is where most of the mix-ups come from.
Every OSRS League So Far
OSRS leagues are temporary game modes on separate worlds. You start with no stats or items as an Ironman, XP is heavily accelerated, tasks award league points, and points unlock relics. Nothing you do carries into the main game except cosmetics, and recent leagues have run for about eight weeks.

Demonic Pacts was themed around Yama. Echo bosses returned from Raging Echoes. Apart from a different echo boss in Varlamore the line-up stayed the same, but most of them had new or modified drops. OSRS Leagues II: The Trailblazer League
Trailblazer started everyone in Misthalin with Karamja free. You could unlock three more areas from seven: the Wilderness, the Fremennik Isles, Asgarnia, Morytania, the Kharidian Desert, Kandarin and Tirannwn. Kourend and Kebos were not in this league. XP started at 5x and reached 16x at relic tier 6.

Relic picks were permanent for each tier. One of the tier 5 choices was a relic named Equilibrium: every XP drop gave bonus XP equal to 10% of your total level, and that bonus was not multiplied by the league rate. The same relic came back at tier 6 in Trailblazer Reloaded and at tier 4 in Raging Echoes, so in Old School the name Equilibrium refers to a relic.
Trailblazer trophies were set by percentile, not fixed points. The top 1% (Dragon) needed 56,310 points, the top 5% (Rune) 35,680, and Bronze needed 100. The Relic Hunter outfits cost 1,000, 3,000 and 15,000 points. The league hall room for player-owned houses came out on 6 January 2021, the day Trailblazer closed.

A quick tell: Equilibrium's region list includes Anachronia and Havenhythe, and its travel uses lodestones. None of those exist in Old School RuneScape. Equilibrium also had free-to-play worlds, capped at four regions and tier 3 relics. If a league description mentions Daemonheim, Blessings or lodestones, you are reading about RuneScape 3.
When Is the Next OSRS League?
Not announced. The RuneFest 2026 summit on 3 October set out updates into 2027, and the OSRS Wiki's Upcoming updates list has no seventh league on it as of 12 October 2026. Past leagues launched in November 2019, October 2020, January 2022, November 2023, November 2024 and April 2026, so the gap has not been fixed. Leagues have usually been revealed at a Jagex summit a few months before launch.
Some things are safe to expect, because Jagex has kept them across recent leagues:
- Region restrictions. From Raging Echoes onward, Jagex confirmed all future leagues use the Trailblazer region mechanic.
- About eight weeks of runtime.
- A fresh Ironman account with no stats or items, accelerated XP and drop rates that rise with relic tier.
- Relics locked in once chosen, so think before you click.
- League Firsts, recorded on the Info Board next to the Leagues Assistant in the Lumbridge Castle courtyard.
- Seven trophy tiers from bronze to dragon at fixed point thresholds, as used since Trailblazer Reloaded.
Preparing for a League Without Knowing the Rules
Because you start from scratch, no amount of main-game grinding gives you a head start. What you can prepare is knowledge, and that transfers between leagues better than any loadout guide.

Learn the quest chains that gate the most content, since leagues make questing a first-day priority.

Get comfortable with bosses you would otherwise avoid; accelerated XP puts you in front of them within days.

Read the region list on announcement day and find which regions complete whole task clusters rather than single tasks.

Decide your goal before worlds open:
casual completion, a specific trophy threshold, or a HiScores push. Each wants different region picks.

Treat relic choices as permanent and write down what you give up before confirming one.

Protect your sleep in week one.
An eight-week mode is not won on launch night.
The most common day-one mistake is copying a streamer's region plan that was built around a different relic path. Region and relic choices interact, so a plan lifted halfway through fits nobody.

A player-owned house room for showing off league rewards. It needs 27 Construction and costs 15,000 coins, and only one can be built. Its hotspots are a banner stand, rug, outfit stand, three pedestals, an accomplishment scroll, a statue and a trophy case.
Does league progress affect my main account?
No. Stats and items are separate. What follows you is pets (for future leagues), bank slots, league-to-league cosmetics, your trophy and the league points you spend in the rewards shop.
